Shefa is a Hebrew word meaning 'everflow' - the ever-flowing power of the Divine, called in other systems 'prana' or 'chi'. Theolyn Cortens has developed a simple and powerful technique that uses sacred symbols from an ancient script to encourage and accelerate healing and spiritual evolution.

Shefa Healing activates the natural flow of divine energy in the body, re-balancing the human system and shifting old blocks. People trained in Reiki have described Shefa Healing as faster, more powerful and yet gentler than Reiki and its related technologies.

Shefa Healing uses symbols based on the shapes of Hebrew letters. The Shefa Healing symbols carry angelic energy that we can use for healing. Each symbol carries a particular energetic and Theolyn has brough her unique understanding of them into the world so they can be used for fast and effective healing.

Receiving Shefa Healing

Shefa Healing can be delivered to a fully-clothed person, sitting, standing or lying down. The healer will stand behind you and will lightly touch your shoulders and ask you to close your eyes. They will then ask for angelic protection for both of you before moving around you, making light, simple movements that do not touch the body. Your healer will then sit quietly beside you for a few moments, allowing time for the energetic changes in your system to settle. Then they will touch you lightly on your hands or feet to indicate that you can open your eyes, and will offer you a drink of water.

The whole process usually takes around forty minutes, although the first session may be longer.

Shefa healers are also trained to transmit symbols to you from a distance and, if this form of healing is to be given, your healer may agree certain times for doing it.

What can you expect?

Shefa Healing does not claim to cure - the symbols are used to provoke the natural healing potential in the human system and in particular to encourage the four bodies to re-balance - spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. Each person heals in their own way and at their own speed, so results are not predictable, but many people report a new sense of confidence and calm. Shefa Healing is designed to re-align energetic patterns that have been unbalanced. This can happen quite quickly and noticeably, but may also be very subtle and the results may not be identified immediately.
